"Realization of Wrong Habits" Educational anecdote.
One day Emperor Akbar was very upset, the reason was his son's thumb sucking habit. Emperor Akbar tried many methods but there was no effect on the habit of Shahzade.
When Akbar was sitting in his court, he came to know about a faqir, whose words are so good that even a nagging person starts walking in the right direction.
Akbar ordered that Faqir to be presented in the court. Akbar came to the court and told him about the wrong habit of his son and urged him to take some measures.
All the courtiers and Birbal were accompanied by Akbar and his son. Faqir thought for a while and said that I will come after a week and left from there. Akbar and all the courtiers found it strange that Faqir left without meeting Shahzade.
After a week, Faqir arrives at the court and meets Shehzade and she confides in Shehzade about the problems caused by her thumb in love, and Shehzade also promised never to suck her thumb.
Akbar told Faqir that you could have done this work only last week. All the courtiers also expressed displeasure, that this faq wasted all of us, and it should be punished because it has made the court dire.
Akbar felt the same right and decided to bring the sentence. All the courtiers gave their own suggestions.
Akbar said to Birbal - Birbal why are you silent? What should you punish for speaking too?
Birbal replied - Jahan! All of us should learn from this Faqir and bless him by giving him the status of a Guru.
Akbar said in anger - Birbal! You are treating us and all the courts.
Birbal said - Jahanpanah! Sorry sorry. But this is fair justice. On the day when Faqir first came to the court and you were telling him about Shahzade, then you must have seen Faqir eating something again and again. Actually Faqir had the wrong habit of eating lime.
When you said about Shahzade, he realized his wrong habit and he corrected his own wrong habit first. This time, when Fakir came, he did not touch the casket of lime even once.
Hearing this, all the courtiers understood their mistake and respected the faqir from all.
Education - We should always correct our own shortcomings before giving knowledge to others and present the right example, only then can we be able to give knowledge to others.
